Stelios Nerantzakis


Stelios is a qualified lawyer/advisor specialised in the Shipping, Energy and Oil & Gas industries.

Before joining ADS Insight, Stelios’ experience includes advising the private sector as an independent lawyer in a law firm and as an in-house lawyer/secretary of the BoD at the Port Authority of Thessaloniki S.A. He was at the Justice & Home Affairs Unit at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU during the Greek Presidency, where he represented Greece at the EU Council’s working groups, dealing with the negotiation of EU Directives and Regulations. Stelios also has some experience from the legal service of the DG Presidency of the European Parliament dealing with the drafting and revision of EU legislative acts.

A significant part of his work include advising his clients in order to be harmonised with the correct application of EU legislation. More specifically, he has dealt with the legal interpretation of EU Regulations/Directives into national legislation and its impacts on the above-mentioned industries.

Having grown up in Belgium and Greece, Stelios speaks Greek, French and English fluently. Stelios has a Master’s degree from the Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen in Oil & Gas law and a bachelor of laws from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
