In line with its strategy to expand its reach internationally and engage in projects contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ADS Insight is proud to support Dominica’s objective to become the world’s first climate resilient nation.

Acknowledging that climate change is the most pressing challenge of our time, it requires not only mitigation measures, but also adaptation and resilience to the extreme weather events and natural disasters that it causes. These objectives are at the heart of the Paris Climate Agreement, but also of several UN SDGs – including on Affordable and Clean Energy (No.7), Sustainable Cities and Communities (No.11), Responsible Consumption and Production (No.12), and Climate Action (No.13). As Dominica’s PM Roosevelt Skerrit said during his speech at the United Nation’s General Assembly of September 2017, “there is no more time for conversation… and little time left for action” when it comes to addressing climate change.

For the next 3 months, ADS Insight will be supporting the Climate Resilience Executive Agency for Dominica (CREAD) in drafting their climate resilience national plan, and Kevin Hamon will be working with them in Roseau!
